Traverse City, MI - Madelon Louise Julien passed away at 100 years old on June 4, 2026. She was born to Walter Simeon Jones & Mary Myrtle Pickett Jones on January 11, 1926 in Detroit and lived in Grosse Pointe. After graduation, Madelon worked at Campbell Ewald Advertising in the GM building as a receptionist and secretary. She married Robert (Bob) Louis Julien on February 15, 1947. They moved to Inkster when they started their family, and then to Farmington Hills as their family grew. They had 8 children. In 1973, the family moved to Traverse City where they had frequently vacationed.

Madelon will be remembered by all who knew her for her love of cooking, fine dining and British TV mysteries. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, knitting and crocheting. She had a wonderful circle of friends whom she cherished like family.

Madelon is survived by her children Mariann (David) Watson, Deborah Griffin, Diane Chisholm, Teresa (Tim) Rhoades, Ken Julien, Elisa Julien and Jennifer Garrison, as well as 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, their son Cliff Julien and their grandchild Travis Griffin.
