Marilyn Ethel Beaver Obituary

Kalkaska, MI - Marilyn Ethel Beaver, 86, a life-long resident of Fife Lake passed away on

Sunday Sept. 28, 2025 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She was born

on December 20, 1938, the second of seven children raised by Derwood

and Ethel Birgy.

Marilyn graduated from Kalkaska High School before attending the nursing program at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She was a well-respected nurse for 35 years.

Marilyn married Richard Beaver, the love of her life, on February 16, 1991. She loved her family,

career, hunting and fishing and many creative crafts including quilting. She

had a strong faith and was a long-time member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard Beaver, as well as

four daughters; Marsha (Dan) Edson, Angela (Trevor) Stone, Lisa (Lee)

Newman, Cheryl (David) Plews; stepchildren; Kathy Beaver, Kevin

(Bobbie) Beaver, Kirk (Jocelyn) Beaver, Kim (Gordy) Chappell, Charlotte (Jose) Aumentado; 21 grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Marlene) Birgy, Janet Stephens, Larry Birgy, Terry (Judy) Birgy, Tim (Debbie) Birgy and Tammy (Andy) Runkel. and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sharon Birgy and brother-in-law, Doug Stephens.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00am, at St.

Aloysius Catholic Church in Fife Lake . A private burial will take

place in St. Aloysius Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Marilyn's honor to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
