Mary Lena Atkinson Obituary

Kewadin, Michigan - Mary Lena Atkinson, 101, entered into the presence of the Lord on October 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving sons.

Born to Raymond & Maude Mackmin in Ferndale, Mi, Mary was the oldest of 4 siblings.

Mary and her husband of 63 years, Gerald Atkinson, raised five children in Plymouth, Mi. before moving to their beloved Torch Lake residence after retirement.

Mary was a devoted mother to her five children and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother to provide a loving faith-based home.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Atkinson, and 3 daughers; Cheryl Ross, Brenda Pappalardo & Bonnie Dulock.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Liz) Atkinson & Barry Atkinson, both of Kewadin,

8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of Michigan and Cornerstone Caregivers for the compassion and care they provided.

A graveside service was held on November 1, 2025, with Pastor Tim Manzer officiating.

She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.
