Traverse City, MI - Melissa West was my given name

But I went by Twisted just the same

I cared for those oppressed

Helping others I tried my best

Decisions I made were always a test

Heaven gained an angel on April 29, 2026. Melissa West born on March 22, 1968 in Kenneth Missouri, was an incredible force, full of love, laughter and good fun.

She was generous to a fault, and passionate about others not falling into the cycle of addiction or homelessness. Melissa left a legacy by being the driving force behind the food outreach 5Loaves2Fish. When covid hit she demanded someone do something. She had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed.

Enjoy mushroom hunting, beach walking and dancing in heaven sweet friend.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Linda Lee Jenkins, father Charles Edgar West, sisters Shirley Faye Harty and Vicki LeAnn West. Surviving sister Eva Mae Edwards and niece Michelle Edwards.

There will special dinner and memorial to honor Melissa during the 5Loaves2Fish Monday meal at Veterans Park from 5-6 pm
