Michael Anthony Schichtel, of Mesick, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018. He was 53. Mike was born March 16, 1965 in Traverse City.

He had worked at Four Seasons Windows and Glass with his dad and brother for many years then Northern Michigan Glass in Traverse City, Wedgewood Golf Course in Cadillac and Eastwood Custom Homes in Traverse City.

Mike took any opportunity to help others and put his handy man skills to good use. Mike had the ability to connect with people, making him a friend to everyone. He loved to cook, listen to county music and go two-tracking. He enjoyed watching NASCAR with him mom and traveling with his dad.

He is survived by his son, Michael Anthony (Emily) DuJardin, of Traverse City; grandchildren, Ella, Connor and Maelys; his father, David Schichtel, of Traverse City; his mother, Trina Falvo, of Cadillac; siblings, Julie (Dave) Grames, of Mesick, David J. Schichtel, of Traverse City, and Judeen (Mark) Huston, of Manton; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
