Mildred Arvilla (Thornthwaite) Usher, 93, of Marilla Township, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Cleon Township, the daughter of Fred M. and Otilla E. (Haag) Thornthwaite.

Millie attended the Marilla Church of the Brethren and became a member in her early 30's. She was a homemaker and also worked at a few places when her children were growing up. Millie was loved by her family and will be missed greatly by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Millie is survived by: her daughters, Judy (Louis) Hughes, of Marilla Township and Debby Usher, of Mesick; her son, Larry Usher, of Marilla Township; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Millie was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold Usher in 2004; her parents; her brother, Wesley; her sister, Olive; and her grandson, Jeffrey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, May 17, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, with Pastor Joe Wave officiating. Interment will follow in the Marilla Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marilla Church of the Brethren.
