Miriam Nancy Taschner Bach Obituary
Traverse City, Michigan - Miriam Nancy Taschner Bach, 80, of Traverse City, passed away April 28, 2026. She is now at rest after a long battle with chronic illness.
Miriam was a kind and gentle soul. She loved peace and quiet. She had a deep love for nature in all its forms: going for walks and bike rides, gardening, raising chickens, and swimming at Good Harbor and Lake Leelanau in the summertime.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolene Taschner of Portland, OR; her siblings, Lori Fisher, Tom Bach, David Bach, Bob Bach, Don Bach, and Fred Bach; her brother-in-law, Larry Fisher; her sisters-in-law, Barb Bach and Beverly Elwell; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Bach and Lorna Winter Bach, her brother, Jim Bach, and her former husband, Frank Taschner.
Her wish was to have a simple burial without a traditional funeral service; an informal memorial will be held for her this summer with details TBD. You may contact her daughter for more information if you would like to attend. She will be buried at Solon Township Cemetery in Cedar, MI.
