Novi, MI - Nancy Louise Flegal passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, in Novi, Michigan. She was the beloved wife of the late James Flegal and was also preceded in death by her first husband, the late Dennis Proctor.

Born in 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, Nancy was the daughter of the late Peter and Melrose Macunovich. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Phillip Macunovich (the late Mary Anne) and Elaine Liedel (Richard).

Nancy is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Paula (Robert) Montagna, Bruce (the late Lydia Liedel) McLachlan, Michael (Suzanne) Macunovich, Andrea (William) Degillio, Gloria (Tim) Willman, Cynthia (Roger) Laitinen, Claudia (Richard) Pietron, Donald (Andrea) Proctor, the late Steven Proctor, and Virginia (Brady) Sturm.

She also leaves behind many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Nancy will be remembered for her treasured friendships, her Lutheran faith, and her quiet devotion to serving others. While living in Livonia, Michigan, she was a member and volunteer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Farmington. After moving to Traverse City, Michigan, she was a member and volunteer at St. Michael & All Angels Lutheran Church.

In accordance with Nancy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the American Heart Association.
