Traverse City, MI - Narissa Grace Shaul-Heller, 45, passed away in the early morning of December 3, 2025, in Traverse City, MI after fighting a long illness. Narissa was born on April 4, 1980 to her loving parents, Mark and Joan Shaul in Cadillac, MI. Narissa graduated from Cadillac High School and went on to college and got her masters in Psychology. She spent several years working with children in Northern Michigan through the Centra Wellness Network, particularly in the Brethren area of the Kaleva Norma Dixson Elementary School. While there she made meaningful connections, helping children through difficult times. Narissa's area of focus was being a calm caring figure and building strong relationships with elementary students, while also assisting teachers and support staff throughout these buildings. The wellbeing of these children were of tantamount importance to her. In 2012, Narissa married Ric Heller, and in 2014 they welcomed their beloved son, Marsh. Being Marsh's mom was the greatest joy of her life. She loved him fiercely and devoted herself wholeheartedly to his happiness, growth, and well-being. The bond they shared was deep, tender, and filled with unconditional love. Narissa is survived by her parents, Mark and Joan Shaul; her husband, Ric Heller; her son, Marsh; and her siblings, Autumn, Elizabeth, Emily, and Clayton. She will be remembered for her compassion, her warmth, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Narissa touched countless hearts during her forty-five years and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and service. Details for a Celebration of Life will be shared at a later date.
