Orlo Jr. Wildfong, 88, of Mancelona, Michigan born on Nov. 21, 1935 passed away on July 31, 2024. He was born to Orlo J. Wildfong and Ruth A. (Moore) Wildfong. Orlo attended Mancelona schools and High School. In high school he was on the track team.

It was in 4th grade that he asked Dorothy Scholl to marry him. They were married Nov. 20, 1954.

Orlo served in the U.S. Army as a tank commander. Orlo, also known as Junior to many, purchased his father's business after returning home from the army. He successfully owned and operated several enterprises including a gas station, repair shop and wrecker service, auto body and paint shop, and a party store and storage units.

One of Orlo's greatest passions throughout his life involved guns, including gun repair and trap shoots at the Wildfong's Rifle Range. His family was very important to him as he would often take time to go fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren.

Orlo was preceded in death by his parents Orlo and Ruth Wildfong, and daughter Connie (Wildfong) Snook.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy E. Wildfong, and three children, a daughter Bonnie (Roger) Anger, and sons Jay (Bonnie) Wildfong and Tony Wildfong. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Internment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. A private family memorial service to be at a later date.
