Maple City, Michigan - Patricia Lorraine Holcomb of Traverse City, Michigan passed away peacefully under hospice care, April 12, 2025.

She was born August 29, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Howard and Lorraine Keyser. After Howard died in World War II, Pat and her family moved to Traverse City where her mother would later marry the late Stephen Holcomb, Sr.

As a child she would survive polio and rheumatic fever but she never let it slow her down.

Pat started her medical career at Munson Medical Center at 16, as a candy striper and later trained as a respiratory therapist. She went on to train as an RN at Salem College in West Virginia with her dear friend Judy Shearer, who preceded her in death.

She returned to Traverse City where should spend the next 30 years at Munson Medical Center in the ICU, Recovery and Pain Clinic.

Pat had a passion for history, especially WWII, she also loved traveling the world, playing golf and Mahjong games at the Senior Center.

After she retired, she spent winters in Destin, Florida where she made many wonderful friends.

She was devoted to her family and is survived by her beloved nieces Kara Holcomb and Cymbre (Sommerville) Foster and their families as well her cousin Teri (Bob) Moyer. She is also survived by siblings Thomas Holcomb and Susan (Holcomb) Sommerville, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cymbre and Kara would like to thank the wonderful staff at Maple Valley Nursing Home and Hospice of Michigan for their care. In accordance with Pat's wishes no formal services will be held.

Memorials may be directed to the Traverse City Senior Center or to the residents of Maple Valley Nursing Home.
