Kingsley, Michigan - Pat Fitzgerald, age 79, of Kingsley passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, in 1945, Pat married his high school sweetheart, Donna, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and hard work. He spent his career working in the family hardware store and later at General Motors. Pat was loved and respected by all for his confident, honest, can-do spirit. He found joy tinkering with his tractors, playing with their beloved dogs, and tending his vineyard. Above all, Pat cherished his family and they adored him.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Fitzgerald; children, Kellie (John) Chase, Pat (Judi) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Sara, Rachael, Brenden, Michael, Hannah, and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Denis Fitzgerald, Mary Klein, and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, James & Marguerite (Tallieu) Fitzgerald, and brothers, Art and Jim Fitzgerald.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 3, 2025 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 630 S. West Silver Lake Rd., Traverse City. Family will welcome visitors an hour prior to the service at 10 am, also at the church with a luncheon to follow. Memorial contributions may be given in Pat's honor to the St. Patrick Catholic Church Food Pantry (by mail) or Cherryland Humane Society.
