Williamsburg, Michigan - Patrick William Peiffer, 79, of Williamsburg, passed away on July 31, 2026 at Sunrise of Cascade in Grand Rapids with his family by his side.

Pat was born on July 12, 1947 in Saint Johns to the late Eugene and Colleen (Miller) Peiffer. He grew up in Carson City, spent time in Grand Ledge and later moved to Traverse City in 1979.

On October 20, 1979 he married Joyce Johnson in Traverse City.

Pat was an auditor for the State of Michigan for 35 years. He retired from the Department of Social Services in 2009.

Pat enjoyed all of his time spent on the family farm in Carson City and winters spent in Arizona. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, hunting and his dogs.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael "Duke".

Pat is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce, sons Joshua (Terese), Jason, and Scott; grandchildren Lawson, Penn, Jackson, Audrey, Owen and Finn; siblings Tim (Jeanne), Kathy (Mike) Foley, Karen and Craig; and many extended family members and friends.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to Cherryland Humane Society.
