Phyllis L. Rohn Obituary

Frankfort, Michigan - Phyllis L Rohn (Doberstein), 79, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Maples, in Frankfort. She was born on April 23, 1946, in Muskegon, Michigan., daughter of Arthur and Genevieve Doberstein (Irwin). She was the youngest of six children and spent her childhood in Copemish, Michigan, graduating from Benzie Central Schools.

She married Walter F. Rohn, with whom she raised two children, in the Frankfort area. Phyllis worked as a licensed realtor, before becoming self-employed. Her love of crafts, turned into a chair caning and furniture restoration business. Unfortunately she was forced to retire when her Parkinson's disease progressed too far. Even when she moved into assisted living, she continued to do as many crafts and as much gardening as possible. Phyllis died while in the excellent care of the Maples, in Frankfort.

She is survived by: one sister, Sandy Stevens; her children, Sheila (Ace) Streeter and Patrick (Nancy) Rohn; one grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her ex-husband and father of her children, Walter Rohn.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will take place at the Cleon Township Cemetery, in Copemish, Michigan, at a later date. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, please consider performing a random act of kindness in her memory.

The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
