Ralph Steinberg, 67, of Kewadin, passed away at Munson Medical Center on Sept. 24, 2019.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary (Piette) Steinberg; and his brother, Jerry Steinberg.
He is survived by his son, Cory Steinberg; his brothers, Stanley Steinberg and Robert Steinberg; his sisters, Nancy Flees and Trudy Woodcox and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was born May 3, 1952 in Traverse City. He was highly regarded for his strong work ethic and through the years worked for Coca-Cola, CSC Manufacturing and the Oasis Tavern. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Long Lake Township Fire Department for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, boating and spending time with friends. He was known for his talent and creativity with building and fixing all manner of things, for his kind and generous nature, for being a fiercely loyal friend and for being a great dad. He was an affable man with a big heart who would do anything for anyone who asked. He was a father who would drop everything at a moment's notice to be there for his son whenever he was needed. He will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him, and he will be missed dearly.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the Dronkowski family who were great friends to Ralph over the years and with whom he shared many adventures and experiences.
Those who wish to celebrate Ralph are invited to raise a glass at the Oasis Tavern, 7204 Cairn Highway, Kewadin, at 4 p.m. on Oct. 20.
