Mona was an extraordinary woman who owned and operated her own very successful hair salons in both Bay City, Michigan and Traverse City, Michigan. She was also an avid volunteer with Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, Big Brother/Big Sister and The Music House. She also was known for her aprons. She designed and sewed one every day and gave away thousands of aprons to anyone who needed or wanted them. Her aprons have made their way all over the world. She was an avid golfer, skier, baker and seamstress.
She loved people and always taught us that everyone is equal, we were not to feel that we were better than anyone else. She was always telling us to treat everyone the way we would want to be treated.
