Bellaire, Michigan - Robert H. Felton, 57, of Bellaire, passed away on July 22, 2025 at his home.

Bob was born on August 25, 1967, in Gary, IN, the son of George Jr. and Judith (Smith) Felton.

He was raised in Grand Rapids, MI, where he graduated from Calvin Christian High School, then he went on to earn his Associate of Arts from Kuyper College, and then his Bachelor of Science in Ministry Leadership from Cornerstone University.

He moved to Bellaire in 1993 where he did contracting work until 2003. From 2003 until 2011 he worked in Church Tech. In 2011 he started pastoring at New Hope Community Church until becoming Pastor at the Bellaire Campus.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being a substitute bus driver, track timer, as well as volunteering in the community. Following his cancer diagnosis, in order to keep himself moving Bob became an avid mountain biker, even completing the Iceman Cometh Challenge, while undergoing Chemotherapy treatments.

On August 13, 1988, in Grand Rapids, he married Amy Hofstra who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Rachel (Egon) Stowers, Ryan (Jenna) Starring and 2 grandchildren, Thomas and Carter Stowers,and a brother George III and Cheryl Felton.

Preceding him in death were his parents George Jr. and Judith Felton.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 3 pm at New Hope Community Church in Williamsburg with Pastor Craig Trierweiler officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1, from 1-3 pm also at the church.

Arrangements are in the care of the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
