Bradenton, Florida - Bob Garland, 83, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Traverse City, MI, passed away on January 4, 2026, due to Parkinson's and Myasthenia Gravis.

Bob was born in 1942 in Traverse City, Michigan, to Beatrice and Robert Garland Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Robert Garland Sr.; his sisters, Patsy Garland and Judy Martin; his beloved wife, Cheryl Garland; and his grandson, Jesse Nelson.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Garland; his four children: daughter and son-in-law Cassay and Michael Herron, daughter Wendy Brewer, son and daughter-in-law Brad and Miranda Sue Brewer and daughter Jennifer Balogh; nine grandchildren: Baelee Garland, Christina Hird, Justin Brewer, Ryan Brewer, Natalie Balogh, Henry Herron, Samantha Herron, Morgan Herron, and Caleb Herron; five great-grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, as well as multiple cousins.

Bob will be remembered for his strength, resilience, and deep love for his family and friends. Despite the challenges he faced in later years, he remained devoted to those he loved and leaves behind a legacy of remarkable perseverance, loyalty, and cherished memories that will endure for generations.
