Interlochen, MI - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" Kuhn

of Interlochen, Michigan, on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 95 years.

Bob was born on November 12, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to Frank Kuhn and Mary

Jung. He grew up in Detroit, where he attended St. Vincent High School and developed

a fondness for playing lighthearted pranks, a playful spirit that remained with him for the

rest of his life.

A proud veteran, Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning

the rank of Corporal with a special skills designation. Following his military service, he

pursued his education in Business Administration from the University of Detroit.

In 1952, Bob married the love of his life, Helen Smith. Together they shared 65

wonderful years of marriage, building a life rooted in devotion and joy. Bob spent much

of his career working as an Instrument Technician at Marathon and a Men's Wear

Salesman at Sears.

Outside of his professional life, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was a man of immense kindness and openheartedness, known for his support, his

unconditional love, and a quick wit and sense of humor that could light up any room.

Many regarded him as a role model, an extraordinary man who led by example.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen, his grandson, John Eric, and his

sisters Francie, and Mary "Menchie" Fye. His legacy lives on through his eight children:

Paul (Vicki), David (Holly), Anne (Don) Swartz, Larry (Sue), Brian (Kris), John (Jackie),

James, and Robert (Kelley); his seventeen grandchildren; and his twenty-two

great-grandchildren
