A wonderful man, Robert Charles Needham was welcomed into the arms of his heavenly Father on May 19, 2022, surrounded by his wife, Maureen, two of his daughters, Kathy and Kim; Kelly who was with him in prayer, finally free of dementia that robs so much from all.

Born in 1943 in Traverse City to Ken & Vivian Storey, he attended Central Grade School and moved to Elberta in 1958. Bob joined the Army at 17 years old and loved his service to his country.

Bob returned to Elberta and went to work on the car ferries. He met Maureen Frees in 1964 at the Copemish dance. They went on to have three girls. He was the original "girl" dad.

Bob was a friend to anyone in need and wanted to make everyone laugh, he was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken & Vivan Storey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maureen; three daughters, Kathy (Greg) Neer, Kelly Needham and Kim (John) Deegan. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia (Joe) Ritter; his grandson, Riley (Kate) Neer; and their three children, Corwin, Octavia and Callan; great grandchild, Hunter Neer; nieces and nephews, who have great memories of "uncle Bob" making and serving mounds of homemade pancakes on wonderful family get-togethers; his in-laws who he loved as his own family, David, Terry, Linda (deceased), Michael, James, Gary (Michael), Kim (Bradford) Frees, Charlene (Charles deceased) Slade.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
