Bear Lake, Michigan - Roberta (Bert) May Anderson, 83, of Bear Lake, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 22, 1942, in Addison, MI, the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Crandall) Huffman. She married Alan Anderson on November 25, 1970, in Bear Lake, Michigan.

After retiring from Crystal Mountain, Bert and Alan wintered in Georgia and then later in Lady Lake, FL, where she enjoyed spending time with her snowbird friends and dancing to the music of local musicians (The Village Cowboy). She was an avid reader and gardener. Bert loved sports and especially watching her children and grandchildren play their sports. She also followed U of M Football, the Detroit Tigers, and Lions.

She is survived by: her children, Mary (Jim) Pringle, David (Lilly) Anderson, Michael Anderson, Debbie (John) Somers, James (Kathy) Anderson, Dawn (Rick Thomas) Anderson, and Leigh Anderson; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Eva Huffman; brother, Ron (Diane) Huffman; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Samson.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Alan; parents, Robert and Edith Huffman; and grandchild, Kyle Anderson.

Memorial Services for Roberta May Anderson will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 5471 Fairview St, Onekama, MI 49675, with Pastor Jacob Sherry presiding. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until time of service and a luncheon will follow the service at the church. Interment will be in the Pleasanton Township Cemetery.
