Ruthann E. 'Ruthie' Crawford
Ruthann E. Crawford (Ruthie to many), 72, of Kalkaska, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at home.
Ruthann was born to the late Dan and Ann (Solaway) Sullivan on June 17, 1947 in Mt. Clemens. Ruthie married Richard R. Crawford on Dec. 5, 1969 in Richmond.
Ruthie was a licensed beautician for over 50 years. She served on the Kalkaska Memorial Hospital board for over 20 years.
Ruthie touched so many people's lives. Even though she did not have children of her own, she was a mother to many.
She had so much love and compassion for everyone no matter who they were, she didn't judge, and had a heart of gold.
Ruthie was an accomplished seamstress who helped many young ladies with alterations. She was a crafter, a baker, an excellent chef and a great host.
Ruthie is survived by her loving husband of 51 years of marriage, Richard Crawford; and a brother, Emmett Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sullivan.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
Cremation arrangements will be provided by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home; our family serving yours.

Richard, we were so sorry to hear of this. Ruthie was a wonderful person and will be much missed, especially at the Methodist Church. We'll always remember you two doing the meals there. They were the best ever and you both put your hearts and souls into it. It will never be the same without you. You can't be duplicated, no way.
