Williamsburg, MI - Suzanne Grace Grunwaldt Hall
The family of Suzanne Hall reluctantly announces her absence on earth on June 11, 2025, at 91 years old. She was the guiding purpose of this family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hall Jr; Mother Virginia Richardson; Father Alfred Grunwaldt; sister Joan Johnson & brother Roger Richardson; grandparents Peter & Adeline Ferguson, Aunt/Uncle Grace & Marvin Ziehms, Aunt/Uncle Carole & Bert Vasarella, & Aunt Laverne Hopf. She is survived by son Ralph Hall (Debra); daughter Cyndi Gavigan (Rick) & daughter Nancy Hall (Denny). Suzanne is survived by grandchildren Jessica, Vanessa, Evan, Corinne & Liam; in addition to two great grandchildren, Natalie & Elliott. Also survived by special cousin Russ Hopf, nieces & nephews & cousins. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin & graduated from Rufus King High School. After graduation she moved to Muskegon Michigan to live with an aunt & uncle to start her new life. She then met her husband working at one of her first jobs. She and her husband moved to Traverse City in 1976. Suzanne helped with nursing numerous family members back to health throughout the years, & she was always willing to help the family with anything they needed. Grandma instilled the love of books & reading to the grandkids & even went to the bookstore at midnight for Harry Potter book releases. She was a band parent in Muskegon for two of her kids, volunteering at the NMC barbecue and Traverse City Library for many years. She had a steadfast group of ladies that she met for dinner and music outings around the Traverse City area. She was the baby of this group in her eighties. She was also a good friend to a new group of friends at a newer residence she lived at. Sue was like Old Faithful; every birthday, holiday, special occasion, or for no reason at all we would hear from her. She used the snow blower in her driveway into her early eighties! Suzanne had a strong faith in God. She loved to sew, cook, read, travel to see family, attend musical events & plays. When her kids were young, weekly trips to their beloved cabin were enjoyed. Suzanne was loving, caring and kind, although she did speak her mind at times. We will miss her hugs, smile, her sense of humor and laughter, and all the texts and calls that we would receive. The family would like to thank Bayside Wellness Hospice and Autumn House for their excellent and dedicated care. No funeral or memorial will be held, according to Suzanne's request. Memorials in her memory can be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or Friends of the Library of Traverse City Michigan.
