Thompsonville, Michigan - Victor "Vic" Elmer Lonn, 82, of Thompsonville, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was born June 16, 1937 in the north hills of Thompsonville the son of Yalmer and Leta (Stanton) Lonn.

Vic was an avid sports and race car fan. He played basketball in his high school years, raced dirt track in his young adult life and played men's slow pitch softball, all of which he excelled at, earning many wins and trophies at the dirt track. Many evenings you would find a group of men helping Vic build and maintain his race car.

Vic was also a constable for Weldon Township as well as a volunteer firefighter for Thompsonville in the '70s and early '80s.

In his later years you would most likely find Vic at a local fishing hole or at one of his grandkids' sporting events. He was even known to attend as many games as possible, including his great-grandson's football and basketball games. He enjoyed every game.

On April 19, 1958 Vic married Martha Christie, his surviving wife of 61 years. He is also survived by daughters, Dawn (Andrew) Dorn, of Kaleva, and Victoria (Gerald) Groll, of Cadillac; son, Martin (Julie) Lonn Sr., of Thompsonville; siblings, Arlene Isaacson, of Florida, John Lonn, of Taylor, and David Lonn, of Manistee; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well as his close friend, Craig Bull.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Stilwell; and his sister, Helen Lonn.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva, with Pastor Ken Blair officiating.
