Virginia "Ginny" A. Dukes (Haviland), age 82, died peacefully February 26, 2025 after a 14-year journey with Alzheimer's.
Born May 25, 1942 in Flint and raised in Kalkaska, Michigan, Ginny loved her family, friends, sports (especially golf), and music. Proud of her GM vehicles, she enjoyed her 39-year career with GMAC.
Cherished as Aunt Ginny by many and Gigi by a few, Virginia is preceded in death by parents Lee and Nellie (Moorman) Haviland; sisters Betty (Robert) Thorington and Mary Ellen (Arthur) Jankowski; brother Don; husband of 20 years, Bud Dukes. She is survived by sister-in-law Ann; cousin Robert Moorman; daughter Kathryn; son-in-law of 20 years, Steven Jett; grandsons Julian and Nathaniel; many nieces and nephews. The family will have a small memorial gathering in the spring to share pie and appreciation.
